We provide reliable, professional pet waste removal services that help busy individuals reclaim their time and enjoy clean, safe outdoor spaces. Rooted in compassion, service, and community, we proudly donate one free stop per route to a disabled veteran or individual with a registered service animal. Our long-term mission is to fund, train, and donate fully equipped service animals to veterans and law enforcement officers in need — because those who served our country deserve unwavering support. With heart, hustle, and humor, we show up — because when shit happens, we clean it up.

Hi, I’m Theresa L’Heureux — founder of Shit Happens and a proud mother, survivor, and community-driven entrepreneur. With over 20 years in hospitality and operations, I’ve built a career on showing up for people, solving problems, and getting things done right. After facing life-altering spinal surgery that left me paralyzed, I fought to walk again — and I’ve been moving forward ever since. As a single mom of two and someone who knows the value of time, dignity, and second chances, I launched Shit Happens to help busy families care for their pets and their space — without the mess. ​ Rooted in service, this business is also my way of giving back. My family is full of veterans, and honoring their sacrifices is personal. That’s why every route includes a free stop for a disabled veteran or service animal owner — and one day, we aim to fully fund and donate trained service dogs to those who’ve served our country. ​ Because yes — shit happens. But when it does, We're here to clean it up.
